Chunky Knit Blanket Workshop

Spend a cozy Sunday afternoon creating your very own chunky knit blanket! In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn how to hand knit a soft, stylish blanket using only your hands–no knitting needles or crochet hooks required. Whether you're brand new to knitting or just looking for a relaxing afternoon of crafting, this workshop is the perfect way to unwind while making something beautiful to take home.

 

What you'll learn & enjoy:

• Learn step-by-step how to start, knit, and finish a chunky knit blanket.
• Perfect for beginners ages 8 and up—no knitting experience needed.
• Choose your favorite yarn colors with the yarn-included registration option, or bring your own yarn.
• Enjoy a relaxing afternoon of crafting in the cozy atmosphere of Sip Coffee House & Artisan Cafe.

 

Sip Coffee House & Artisan Cafe offers a delicious selection of weekly specials, bubble tea, coffee, pastries, breakfast, and lunch options. • $90 – Instruction + 4 skeins of chunky blanket yarn included (choose your yarn colors on the registration form)

Hand-Crocheted Pet Bed Workshop + Fundraiser

Treat yourself to a fun and relaxing evening by learning a brand-new skill all while helping support cats and kittens in need! Join Stargirl Crafts for this beginner-friendly workshop where you'll create a soft, cozy pet bed that's perfect for a cat or small dog. No crochet hooks or sewing needles required!

By the end of class, you'll head home with your finished pet bed, written instructions, and the skills to continue making more pet beds at home.

 

You'll learn and enjoy:

• Hand-crochet using only your hands and fingers, without crochet hooks or sewing needles
• How to read a crochet pattern using basic beginner stitches
• How to shape and finish your project
• Tips for adjusting the pattern to make larger pet beds in the future

 

What's Included:

• 3 hours of instructor-led step-by-step instruction
• 2 skeins of chunky yarn in colors of your choice
• Your completed pet bed to take home
• Printed written instructions to recreate the project at home

 

Who Can Attend?

This workshop is recommended for ages 15 and up due to the length of the class and patience required in learning crocheting techniques. Burn 'Em Brewing is a family-friendly establishment, and the workshop will be held in their private back room.

 

Fundraiser for Independent Cat Society

This workshop also serves as a fundraiser! Not only are you supporting a local artist, but a portion of every ticket sold will be donated to the Independent Cat Society to help cats and kittens in need. This is the third fundraising workshop Stargirl Crafts has hosted in support of the organization, and we're excited to continue giving back through creative events!

 

Make It a Night Out!

Turn your workshop into a fun evening out! Come early for dinner or stay afterward to enjoy Burn 'Em Brewing's delicious food, craft beer, cocktails, wine, cider, and non-alcoholic beverages.

You're welcome to order food and drinks during the workshop. Since this is a hands-on class and you'll be using both hands throughout most of the project, I recommend enjoying a drink or appetizer while you craft and saving your main meal for before or after the workshop.
